This role requires someone who can lead a team, maintain an exceptional customer experience, manage slab and sample inventory, and drive showroom sales growth while ensuring a visually appealing and organized display. We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Tile and Natural Stone Showroom Director  to oversee the daily operations of our showroom. The ideal candidate will be passionate about design, customer service, and sales, with extensive knowledge of residential luxury goods preferably in tile, stone, and other flooring materials.

The Showroom Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of showroom operations including team leadership, project management, and creative direction. This strategic leader will manage a diverse team of creative professionals, including senior and junior designers, providing mentorship to nurture creativity and collaboration. They are accountable for managing small to large-scale showroom projects, defining project timelines, project budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.

The Showroom Director collaborates closely with clients and the design team to provide strategic solutions and maintain residential and trade account cohesion. They ensure that the showroom and service to clients aligns with quality standards, brand guidelines, and industry trends, staying updated on emerging trends and best practices to foster innovation and creativity within the showroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Supervise and motivate a team of showroom designers and slab associates, ensuring they provide excellent customer service and are knowledgeable about product offerings.
    • Train new hires and provide ongoing training to existing team members on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service standards.
    • Set sales goals and performance metrics for the showroom team, regularly tracking progress and providing feedback.
    • Successfully manage complex dynamics in the showroom from internal to external relations.

 

  1. Showroom  Management:
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the showroom, ensuring a clean, organized, and visually appealing environment.
    • Maintain and refresh product displays to showcase a wide variety of tile and natural stone products in an engaging and aesthetically pleasing manner.
    • Ensure the showroom layout is customer-friendly, facilitating easy browsing and inspiring design ideas.
  2. Sales and Customer Service:
    • Provide expert product knowledge and design advice to customers, helping them select the best products for their projects.
    • Engage with customers in a professional, friendly manner to build relationships and foster repeat business.
    • Drive showroom sales by creating a positive and welcoming shopping experience that encourages customer purchases.
    • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests with a high level of professionalism and efficiency.
    • Provide sales support to the showroom team.
    • Manage client interactions and projects as needed.
  3. Slab Inventory and Sample Stock Management:
    • Monitor slab inventory to ensure the showroom is adequately stocked with popular products.
    • Collaborate with purchasing and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products, resolve any supply chain issues, and keep product offerings up-to-date.
    • Perform regular sample inventory audits and report discrepancies to the design team.
    • Maintain a stocked, clean, organized sample library of relevant samples in collaboration with the design team.
  4. Marketing and Promotion:
    • Participate in showroom events such as customer appreciation days, design workshops, or trade shows.
    • Collaboration with the business development team on showroom events.
    • Provide the leadership team with product requests and vendor marketing materials.
  5. Administrative Duties:
    • Manage showroom scheduling and staff coverage to ensure appropriate staffing levels during peak hours and special events.
    • Prepare reports on sales performance, customer feedback for the leadership team.
    • Maintain showroom budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations and maximizing profitability.
    • Maintain showroom and operational supplies, ordering as needed

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in luxury product market, showroom management, preferably in tile, flooring, or home design industries.
    • Minimum 3 years in a creative industry across B2B and/or B2C companies.
    • Proven track record in team leadership, sales, and customer service.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of tile, natural stone, and related products.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse customers.
    • Leadership ability to inspire and manage a team.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Google Workplace platform and showroom management software (e.g., POS systems, sales and inventory management system and CRM).
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, design, or a related field is preferred.
    • High school diploma or equivalent required

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Sales and Design Consultant to join our team at our tile and slab showroom. This role is perfect for an individual with a passion for design, a keen eye for aesthetics, and a proven track record in sales.

Responsibilities:

1. Client Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with mid to high-end residential clients and some commercial clients. Understand their needs and provide personalized design solutions.

2. Product Knowledge: Stay abreast of the latest trends and innovations in tile and slab materials. Educate clients on product features, benefits, and suitability for their projects.

3. Design Consultation: Collaborate with clients to understand their design preferences, offering expert advice on tile and slab selections that align with their vision and budget.

4. Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed targets. Utilize a consultative approach to guide clients through the selection process.

5. Project Coordination: Work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of design projects from concept to completion.

6. Showroom Presentation: Maintain an inviting and aesthetically pleasing showroom environment. Update displays to showcase the latest products and design possibilities.

Qualifications:

1. Experience: Proven experience in sales, preferably in the tile and slab or related industry. Design background or certification is a plus.

2. Creativity: Strong design sensibility and ability to translate client preferences into cohesive and appealing design concepts.

3. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate design concepts and product features clearly to clients.

4. Sales Acumen: Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets. A proactive and results-driven mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and fulfill customer orders by accurately picking, packing, and preparing products for shipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment to ensure efficient operations and a positive customer experience.
  • Assist customers with product inquiries, provide product information, and offer recommendations to meet their needs.
  • Process sales transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash or electronic payments securely.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate low stock situations to the inventory management team.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Conduct regular stock checks to reconcile physical inventory with system records.

  • Plan and execute delivery routes to optimize fuel efficiency and meet scheduled deadlines.
  • Load and unload cargo, verifying the accuracy of shipments and maintaining the integrity of delivered products.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, providing updates on delivery progress and addressing any issues or delays.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure a safe driving environment.

  • Ability to lift and handle heavy loads.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to perform basic troubleshooting.

  • Possibility of an adjusted scheduled start times depending on traffic
